Continenatl Extreme Contact DWS Tires

Does anyone have experience with Continental Tires? Specifically the Extreme Contact DWS?

I just purchased 17x9 and 17x7.5 wheels from a '93 928 GTS to mount on my '87. I'm hoping to fit 255/40's and 225/45's.

I do not know what tires work well on a 928 and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have had nothing but bad luck with continental tires. The belts tend to separate prematurely. I have had it happen 3 times so far. Now I do not buy continentals.

Just a personal experiance, maybe someone else has had better luck.

255/40's and 225/45's is the correct fitment for those wheels.

I've heard nothing but good things about Continental Sport Contact 3 tires..

Owning a 928 is risky business - but sometimes you just gotta say "what the fudge".

Martin, I have the same size your getting. Great tire, quiet, lots of traction, great tire I recommend.

7.5 works on some Porsches, but I don't see it as a wide enough option for a 928.

Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec can't be beat for the money. They are awesome tires and I run them on the twin turbo and on my Audi Quattros.
