California Festival of Speed April 8-10

Anyone been to one of these before? I was just browsing through my PCA Magazine I get every month and saw the Banner Ad.

Anyone going with their 928 or just going? Anyone been in the past? If so, how was the 928 turnout?

It's free with $10 Parking

Looks fun!

Never been but thinking about it. Did you get the invite from Pioneer Centres Porsche - On Saturday, March 26th, they are hosting Showoff Saturday from 9am to 11am. Says Bring your favorite car to show off (non Porsche's invited too)! I'm planning to take the 86 down, see how far out in the back lot they make me park :-)

I belong to the Porsche Club or America (PCA) and I get a Magazine every month called the Windblower (I think) and it had a page full banner on this event. Not sure if I trust either one of my cars to do a 2 hour trek, but who know's by that time. I need to put some miles on the "S" before I feel comfortable with it.

Leo, i worded that badly, i saw the full page add in the SD club mag as well, I was trying to say there is also ( unrelated) at
Pioneer Centres Porsche on MiraMar - On Saturday, March 26th, a Showoff Saturday from 9am to 11am.

Got it now. Now that's a distance I may be able to make without issue. We'll see how the Smog stuff goes once I get the "S" back together.

Festival of Speed

It is a fun event.

3 days of track events plus vendors, tests drives, and a Concours event.

Lots of cool cars, and the chance to do lunch time laps of the track.

You can also look at volunteering and getting more involved.

No charge for the event, but there is for parking (I believe)

I will be there for the time trial event, but in my 911SC rather than my 928 this year.
Fontana is an easy drive from San Diego on the weekend.

Greg
