Central locking

G'Day Guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help with my central locking, Every time i disconnect the battery,(i have an isolator) and reconnect, the central locking works for 24 hours and then stops. Any ideas?

Also my drivers seat is stuck in the fully raised position, switches work ok, Tested, is there a hidden relay or something else that i may have missed?

check the 2 fuses above the CE panel they are in sepearate connectors red wires with blck stripe.


if you cant move the seat then the switches are most suspect,
to fix them they need to be taken apart and use an eraser on the internal contacts.

TO do this the seat should be removed first,
then put the seat on a big towel to catch all of the balls and levers and springs that will fall out of the switch,
once you have all of the parts and if you didnt snap off the tabs you should be able to restore function,
if that fails then the cable drive might need to be removed and turned a few turns,
otherwise you could have something jamming the seat from moving,
its not uncommon for the bolts that hold the seat rail to the bottom of the seat to become loose and stop it in its track,
the remedy here is to lift the seat up while pushing the switch to move the seat, then use blue loctite on the bolts
