Would you use 10W30 or 20W50 in a 928 with 180K miles on it?
If I were to try this new magic oil that is

I run 20W50 but here in the southeast of the US the temps are high. Today will be 92F. I also don't spend a lot of time in traffic as this is a one horse town.
Not sure summer temps, traffic in Denmark. BTW...Last night was the first time I noticed Greenland is owned by Denmark? I had no idea.

Excuse my ignorance, but those viscosity numbers have always been a puzzle to me.
The higher the numbers, the thicker the oil? First number (**W) stands for cold cranking viscosity? 0 degrees F. (-17*C) Last number is viscosity when warm? 210 degrees F. (98*C) So if for instance one has a bit of high-RPM blow-by with a 10W40 oil, would switching to a 20W50 help, or possibly cure, this problem?

I was wondering how many quarts are in a case, since I believe the coupons said $50 max.

Six quarts in a case; I bought two cases since our cars hold so much more oil

If you're switching from regular to synthetic be prepared for leaks! I recently switched from a non-leaking '79 to Castor Oil Syn-tech to find it leaking everywhere. It seems that the molechular structure of the synthetic oil, (although it does what it's supposed to -- get into places where regular oil cannot), it also gets through your gaskets. I happen to know the Castor Oil Rep, and asking him about the leaking -- he said that a vehicle with 100k on it or better would probably leak. And mine does. The Rep recommended high mileage regular oil.
Just some thoughts...
