Mecerdes E (way off topic)

A good friend is looking to buy a 5 (or so) year old Mercedes E350 or 500. Anyone have experience with them or know of a good site like this? Just want to see if there are any common problems or things to know about.

Hmm, I use this site for my Wifes BMW X5 and their users are good but not close to responsive like Pelican.

I don't own a Mercedes so can't really help. Although, post what you fined since my Mom does have a Mercedes SUV and would be good to know of a good support forum.

The best Mercedes forum for help is PeachParts - Mercedes Parts & Tech Info. Like Pelican, they sell parts to support the forum thru standard WorldPac cart system. The tech support area is very good.

You can also try mbworld.com and benzworld.com - AUTO PARTS Resources and Information. but the signal to noise ration is pretty high at both of these sites.

Ah yes, I forgot that Glen has an MB Station Wagon and I think his daughter has one too. MRGst is the Mercedes guy for sure. He even knows 928's very well and he doesn't even own one. Hint hint

pete i had the 2005 E500,hence the name bluemane500 , beautiful car, no problems, but prior to 2005 the e class had many electrical issues, the only problem i encountered is i paid 76k and three years later it was almost worthless 28k never again but now you can buy a 2005 in the low teens they are nice cars

that's why my buddy is looking at one. right now he has his eye on an 86, about 50K miles, it's $22k with out even talking.. seems like a lot of car for the money. I was just trying to find out if they are like a VW and the poop hits the fan at about 75k. but I haven't heard anything bad yet.
