Al,
The only ones I know of currently work for Pioneer Porsche... and 928 is not on their resume! there are several in town that have many years of 914, 911 experience.....

That's actually a pretty cheap hourly rate if that is what he is posting. Except there is no way I would invite anyone from Craigslist unless he was a referral from a friend. You might end up with a Crescent Wrench across your forehead and then wake up with your Liver and Kidney missing. Could happen

Remember the high quality 928 mechanic BB found off CL?
Only place I could send anybody with a clear conscience is to Greg at Precision Motorwerks in Anaheim. Or wait for one of the regional wrenching parties and hope for a time slot when some of the smart guys can look your car over. |

Yup, I don't actually need a mechanic, I was just passing on useless information...
Besides, my 928 is quite simply too bad ass for a craigslist mechanic...!!!

When I lived back in SD, I used to take my car to this guy on Fairmount Ave across from Home Depot in Mission Valley & North of SDSU. I have known him since 1997 and he does a marvelous job on 928s. I think he even made my Dad's '85 928 his daily driver that he bought showroom new from Alan Johnson back in the 80s.
