small leak on auto transmission

All:

I noticed a small leak on the garage floor

I crawled under the car and noticed that there was what appeared to be an oil/trans fliud leak on what looks like a valve or vacuum modulator.

Not sure what it is

It has some wires coming out of what looks like a sensor with a boot that covers the top of the sensor

This is where the leak is coming from

Not a lot of fluid but enough to tell the sensor? is leaking

Thanks for any advice

sma;; oil leak on auto transmission

No not reallt

It is more cylindrical like a sensor with a boot on top of the and wires or hose

It is attached to the side of the transmission with a large knurled nut attaching it to the body of the trans

The fluid appears to be seeping from the top of the unit through the boot

Thanks

A picture would help immensly. I just got done rebuilding a trans, and I'm not sure what you are talking about. Like Dano, at first I thought you were talking about the K-D solenoid.

The more that I look at the KD solenoid the more is does appear to be this

The rubber boot at the top looks the same with the wires coming out of the unit

That is where the fluid is leaking from

Hard to see when you do not have a lift and have to crawl under the vehicle

It's hidden behind the tube that is connected to the fluid reservoir
