Rather nice car, but after putting that turbo on it...They kept the ugly stock GM valve covers..Why go that far and not change those?

Not worth it! If you want a Chevy, hood scoop, valve covers and all, go buy a Vette.

You can buy a Vette cheaper than a good 928, there are hundreds of thousands of them out there. They are a dime a dozen here, well every time I turn the corner I see another Vette. Not expensive for what you get in a sports car. GM has pumped out so many, there is nothing special or rare about them any more. Dealers here are loaded with them.

This car has been for sale for some time, and discussed in each round. Big question to many is how fubar must it be to only get 400 rwhp with 15 psi of boost on a 350 chevy.

The seller meant 1400 rwhp

Look around and you can find some pretty nice 928's for 5k and under. Most vette's you see are above that price range. People that are asking anything over 10k for a 928 are a bit overpriced. They just dont go for that much. (unless its some 32 valve car..)

Well, yes you can buy a 928 for under $5K but in most cases you will have to add another $5K or more to it for bringing it up to good reliable condition. I think book value depending on year is over $10K. Hagerty will insure mine for $15K fixed value. I just did a quick search and found some Vettes for under $7K. I am sure you can find cheaper ones and like some 928's need a ton of work, time and money. If you want a really clean, documented, maintained 928 you are going to pay more then $5K. I certainly would not sell mine that cheap.
