Curb Rash

What can I do about my wifes driving? Or how can I fix this?

She rubbed a curb, looks to me like she drove up a curb!
Antera wheels, NLA, can not get a new one. Refurbush? Places to try?
Thanks John

My powder coater could fix that, just had him do a set of rims for a C4S that were much worse that that, now you can't tell which wheels had rash..

Yeah, my old Phone Dials had curb rash. I just used a orbital sander to smooth it out prior to taking to the Powdercoater. Just like Byron says "you can't even tell." The only issue is that you'll have to remove the tire.

They use to sell these curb springs you would fasten to the wheel wells. They were maybe a foot long wire with spring on the end. If you got close to the curb, you would hear them rub and it would let you know how close you were to the curb. Get her some for her birthday!

Did she do all the damage near he lug holes too??
Send it to my guy (Richard Pitman) for about $80 that wheel will look like brand new. The wheels for the C4S were worse than that, and now look like they should on a 1 owner 40,000 mile Porsche..

Thanks all,
Very good answers all. I especially like aluminum's and davetr, but I was changing oil on her Lexus and she wont drive my Jeep so... the 928 is just sitting there!
I think I will contact Powder tech like racebvd recommended.
Thanks,
John

Curb rash is pretty straightforward to repair. Il see if i have shots. All you do is unmount the tire, sand it out, fill it with body filler, sand it smooth and repaint the wheel. I use regular old two stage auto paint from ppg.

You can buy wider tires that stick out a little past the wheel to protect them.

Not that I underestimate the ability of the opposite sex to trash your shtuff but... That rash looks so uniform around the entire rim. The rash usually starts with a heavier gash. Any chance your local "touch-less" car wash is doing this? Those bumpers that move in and clean your rims/tires at the end of the cycle. I suppose if you wash it often... My two cents.
