Fiber Optic Cable

I have what looks like a fiber optic cable hanging from under the dash. Tried to remember what I had worked on last to figure out where it may have come from. I did work on the dash HVAC controls. In fact I had it out of the dash. I looked to see if there is a diagram for such a cable but did not find anything yet. Oh yes, this is a 1980 car. Could be related to the illumination of the HVAC controls. Any ideas???

Yes, The only place that uses a fiber optic cable is the light in the HVAC control.

Now the next question is where do I find information about the cable connections? I did not notice anything in the manual.

It just feeds to the HVAC Control Head. I'm gonna say wherever these two fiber cables end up is where yours needs to go to.
