wheel adapters

I came across some nice looking wheels that would look great on my '82 928. Only problem they're not 5x130. One set is 5x120 the other is 5X114. Is it a good idea to use wheel adapters? I don't plan on doing any street racing or anything just have it look nice for cruising. Any thoughts? What should I look for if this is an option?

Thanks

For the most part, never use a wheel you have to adapt to a different bolt pattern. Your offsets are going to be all over the place, most likely going to put your wheels past the fenders. Most of us use wheel spacers just to put stock Porsche wheels closer to the inside of the fender. Either way, let's see a pic of those wheels your looking at.

I wouldn't do it, doesn't appear that anybody else does it either. Maybe you can get the wheel drilled in the 5x130? Don't forget issues like correct offsets etc.

Nice Wheels, but I'm sure you can find similar aftermarkets with a correct bolt pattern.

Have you seen the Panamera Cup V wheels? If you like the 5 spoke pattern check them out. Awesome looking and good offsets for 928.

Heres some from Tire Rack, my Rims on the S came from these guys. I just happen to get them for a killer price off eBay. Normal pricing is very reasonable too. $736 for 4. I got mine for under $300

Sport Edition Cup 5 Silver Painted

These are mine:

Panamera Offsets are perfect on our 928's

Two tails in that last pict Leo.

Western Wheel used to be pretty close to where I live, and they drilled the holes as a separate step, so any pattern was possible at not that big of a cost. If you really like a wheel, make a few calls up the food chain.
