Using Ford motor mounts

Ok it has been almost a year since I replaced my leaky motor mount using cheap ford solid mounts mentioned on 928 tech site with instruction. The job took about 8 hours and very messy but the car runs so smooth and a huge difference the only drawback is that I feel a slight vibration at idle that I can live with that. May be the vibration would go away after the brake in period but 8 hours + $100 sound much better than $1500-$2000 dealer parts and labor.

We discovered that the solids had been cheapened and left hollow.
Also some were filled with water and should have been solid.
Company didn't care.
I've installed 4 sets have 2 sagging.
Glad yours are better. Everybody is moving away from Ford / Anchor now.
We are now shifting to the Volvo mounts.

Still worth it though! Big job. Who could afford that kind of labor work?

Yes there are 2 types of Ford motor mounts I forgot the part # make sure to ask for the solids and also get the bolts cuz the originals won't work. No sagging yet but I don't drive much. Wouldn't be more expensive to make them hollow than to mold cheap solid rubber?

Roger figured it out, knows what to mess with on them for a good fit, best to just get them from him rather than end up with a wrong part. Home - 928's R Us Porsche Parts Store
