928 belt t options
Hi there wondering i want service t belt in my 928s 83, t bel in most palces seem 58$ to $60,, i finad a goodyear belt that is for hynmday cars but came as fitmwnt in 928s ,,at $24 , wondering if someone know that is tru or where is best cheap place to get thewm new,, i plan new t belt new tensioner roller!

Buy your parts from a reputable vendor(like Pelican). There are only two choices IMHO for timing belts: OE Porsche or Gates (who make the belts for Porsche). Remember that your 928 was Porsche's top of the line model in its day. Don't expect to put cheap parts on it and get the durability and performance that Porsche engineered into it. If you have an 85 or up US model failure o the timing belt with the engine running will cause major damage. Not a place to skimp.

^^ agreed. Buy only from the known vendors for parts like these. Timing Belts, Water Pumps, etc. Skimping on this stuff, your likely to be tearing into the engine again a lot sooner than expected.

Why dont you make the belt out of old rags or grass clippings and paper mache. Besides its an 83..
