Anybody know what this connects to?

Noticed it today when looking for vacuum leaks. Right below the rear hoist.
Car is an 84 US.

Thanks
-Dan

There is a thermal vacuum switch which is located on the Pass side of the valley in the rear of the eng. There should be 2 vacuum nipples on it and the routing is on the vacuum diagram. I had to replace mine this past winter after I found an extra vacuum hose laying around and then noticed the thermal switch had a broken nipple. Your pic is hard to really tell if that is it. I had to take the airflow meter airfilter housing out to properly look in the area.

The pic is of the drivers side, just beneath the shackel.

You answered this question yourself, I think from your later post. Tranny vacuum.

That's non-existent on my 83, just looked. Must have started on the 84.

Tranny Vac line goes to the passenger side and down the same on the firewall and tunnel. Wrong side.
