Could be a modified Delco CS130, but just as likely Carl has the manufacturer do some tweaking to make it fit the 928 that might be missing on any standard unit.

All of Carls stuff is pricey, but for a reason. He has quality stuff. The Alternator he is selling is all new, not rebuilt. If this Alt solves the charging and dim lights, then I would think it would be worth it. But like you, I can't afford that so I just deal with the stock one.

To me its a no brainer, keep the stock alternator unless after fixing all the electrical issues including a battery in good shape you still have a voltage sag after a few minutes of driving.

Next step I would go to is the Delco CS130 many others have used successfully.

It looks like an ACDelco for sure, i just cant find the specific model, i'm in a tech school where i would be able to make a custom bracket to fit this, i just need to know which one it is, or does it really even matter?

It almost looks exactly like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Explorer-Ranger-F-150-Alternator-200-Amp-91-00-/120960597473?hash=Alt

Alt2

I just don't know the exact model.
