Nigh on impossible to ever legally import to the united states from what I've been told about bringing cars over the border.

I clicked on the link and it didn't work. I think that site is temporarily down.

This is off-topic, but I would like to know more about importing a car into the States. From my research on government websites, only cars newer than 25 years old are even addressed. This leads me to believe that older cars could be imported because they are classic. Of course some states such as California would be more strict about this.

Runs the gamut, never register in Calif to some states no issues, everything in between.

Two agencies need to be happy for it to be legal, DOT and EPA.

If it was easy and reliable we would be seeing a steady stream of low mileage Japan market cars showing up in the US, and we are not seeing other than onsey twosey.

nice color on the car for sale, but it always amazes me how people who want to sell something put it in the worst possible light to do so. Seriously, would it have been that big of a deal to wait for a dry day and photograph the car then? As they say, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Lots of people looked at it wit those pictures, and even if better ones get posted later, most will never go back and look again.

So true. I would love to have a right hand drive, but just not worth the headache and costs here in Calif.

It's because there's no such thing as a bright and sunny day in Victoria. Remember, this is British Columbia.

Even though Japan drives on the left side, they like their exotics and sports cars to be left-hand drive. I guess it's a status symbol. I'm driving a left-hand drive car in Australia. It has its challenges.
