Newbie with a headlight problem, Help!!!!
Bought a 1990 S4 a few weeks back that I am restoring. This is my 3rd 928 but my first S4. The car has a problem with the headights that I am unable to sort out.
When I turn the headlights on they rise ok and illuminate but the headlight relay continually clicks (loudly) and this makes the lights flicker. I have replaced the relay and light switch but it still does it. Any thoughts on what else I could check. Thanks all. Simon |

Thinking it's something with the cam on the headlight motor. On my S3, the lights illuminate just as the assembly nears full up.

Thanks for the replies guys and sorry for the lack of information. My 928 is on the Isle of Wight, its Tahoe Blue with Linen Leather and is an auto. I had some years back a 928s manual then an S2 manual. I guess as I am getting older and more lazy an auto suits me better!!!
Thanks for the diagram of the ground points, I will go through them latter today and clean them all up. Are the ones round the engine easy to get to? Will also check the other areas you have suggested and let you know how I get on. Once again thanks for your help. Simon |
