Wheels

Can any 17 inch porsche wheel be fitted to an s4 without fender bending or spacers?

and what has to be done to fit 18's? In particular, the 18" turbo or turbo look.

It's going to depend on the wheel and the offset. Most Porsche wheels are stamped for that and any good after market one will have a reference for it.

Most of the 18" "Turbo" look ones are the Twist which will work with out spacers but your best bet is to get the car on a jack, fit it with tire and see if it works. If so then drive off and have fun.

In addition to what Sean said,
tell us the size and offset of the wheel and tire your planning on,
then we can further advise
or do a wheel fitment search
as this question is asked many times
and there is a lot of info available

Ok i have a lot of questions, but for starting simple, and helping me decide what wheel I may want in the first place, what size wheel is best for performance, I've heard 18's are the best, but if 18's are too big of an issue, i would want to consider 17's.

Offsets

Porsche 928 has 65 rear 55 front offsets try to stay in that area to reduce trammeling or tracking front end which can be disturbing. also front fenders will crack if they come into contact with wheels (ask me how I know) The 944 wheels will work. Look at stamps by valve stem for offsets
I am using 18" Carrera Lights 10" 65 offset rears with 285/40/18
8" fronts with 50 offset 235/40/18 they will contact fenders under load

Pretty sure they are wrong offset.

Getting 18's in the Panamera offsets is a perfect fit. Getting Boxter rims are a perfect fit.

I know your looking for the deals near you right now, but if they wont fit, then they will be useless.

In my opinion, the most awesome rims on a 928 are the Lightweight Carrera Wheels. Of which I can never afford. A close second are the Turbo Twists.

Then there are mine that I put on my S. Fakey Twist Wheels in Panamera Offsets.

These will fit. Tires wont. I think these would look real nice on a 928

MPDano, those 18's you linked from ebay, i would just need a shorter sidewall to fit them?

and what are those wheels you have on the gold porsche, the 18's, i saw some on tire rack that look similar but they are 17's

i'm looking for something that wont rub fender wells or anything under load, i usually drive "spiritedly"

Yup, mine are originally from Tire Rack but I got them for super cheap off eBay. Yes, tires will need to be shorter in height. There is an excel spreadsheet out there where you can punch in your offsets, etc and it will recommend a tire size. I believe there is one online as well.

Here is a link to when I bought my Sport Edition Wheels for $230 shipped off ebay

They are Sport Edition Cup 4's 18x8 and 18x10 265/35 Meats going on the rears. I think I ended up going 275/35

Do you know what those are called? the ones you have that are 18, i really like them. also, tire rack says the rear has 45 mm offset, but someone earlier suggested i stay within the 65 offset, this is where i get confused i guess, cuz if a wheel has a different width, then by default, even if they had the same offset, wouldnt they be different? because the offset is in relation to the center of the wheel, but the wheels are different width

I also need to mention that my 16" PD's are using a wheel spacer on the rears.

Ok so i used the wheel fitment excel sheet and allegedly those panamera wheels and tires would fit my car, i guess the only thing the spread sheet may not take into account is the travel that the wheel can make without hitting anything in the wheel well, thats what im not sure of at this point, thanks for the links btw, very helpful

Really unsure why you doubt me when you can see from the pics on my car. How much more proof do you need
