150 mph trap is FAST. Various people post on RL about Todd's projects, but the amount of detail varies from lots to nots.

150 MPH is my personal redline, way too dangerous above that speed even on a track IMHO.

It is a very serious build with some great engineering. Seems like Todd is babying the transmission a bit on take off - those times are really great considering the 'slow' starts

Todd's Twin Turbo 928

WOW!!
BTW- Is he running an Automatic, or Manual trans?

As far as I know only Eric posts real photo details. Todd has done lots of work on the way to the build. The turbos weren't so much fitted into the car - the car was more adapted around them...

Yes, that is pretty fast on a normal hi-way. One little bump and it could be your last. I have gone close to that but I was a lot younger!! I did have my 67 Vette on the Indy 500 for one lap, first day of time trials....it was in the morning before the actual race cars did their times....lots of fun, but at 120+ mph I had to back down. Got my "One Lapper Card" to prove it. A once in a life time experience! I could see the fans raising up as I came up to the pole from turn 4, maybe 300,000 fans at the track. Guy jumps out to flag me down, really, no kidding! We were not suppose to go that fast, but the Vette in front of me did it, and so did I.

I lost a rear shock on my new 944 turbo as I verified the top speed of 155 mph, nice smooth empty highway, still entertaining.

Interesting posts about hi speed travel / track events so I well chime in
One time on my way to Boise ID. Traveling through eastern Oregon in my 1990 C4 911
I traveled for 1 hour between 130 MPH and 140 MPH and the handling was excellent and smooth.
However I realized that should something all of a sudden be on the road like a deer (unlikely in that area ) I would be hard pressed to avoid it.
So I slowed down to 80 MPH and it now felt like I was barely moving after 130 / 140 MPH
I had to force myself to drive at this slower speed and it was hard but I succeeded .
I might add I had plenty more to go then 130 /140 MPH speed and well mention that the Air Foil was open (911 Rear Foil ) pinning the rear of the car down on the ground ( it really works ) The foil opens after 50 MPH as I remember .
I have not tried the 928 at Hi Speed's ( over 100 MPH ) as of yet however I have drove the car enough to guess that most likely the Hi Speed's over 120 would be tricky beyond straight stretch driving .

You were probably not going as fast as you thought. The speedo is not too accurate at higher speeds, that is why they use timing devices. I am sure you were moving along pretty fast however. Fun to do those things, but the fines could be excessive and some good risk to ones self and someone else.

The other day some kid on his crotch rocket tail gates me in my 928, then comes along side waiting for me to acknowledge his fast bike. I just looked ahead, next thing he does a wheelie doing about 70 and came real close to dumping it.

Curves we all have a preconceived idea of appropriate speed, bumps or dips, those can mess you up going fast.

Having a car for track use isn't cheap, but driving "fun" on the street is too dangerous.
