A/C Trouble shoot
Okay guys,
So I've read the other A/C threads and all of the info at 928gt.com and I just want to confirm I am in the right here. The A/C on the 928 wont turn on, traced no voltage back to the freeze switch which has nothing voltage wise on either post/wire and nothing happens if you jump the wires without the freeze switch, but the A/C clicks right on if you jumper the freeze switch on either prong from the jump start post. I take it that no power at the freeze switch means the relay in the head unit is gone and needs to be replaced (as in the dr. bob or this writeup). Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I tear apart the dash for no reason. Last edited by Towers; 07-27-2014 at 03:25 PM.. |

Yes that seems most likely - unless the AC switch is not connected. AC would still come on in some modes though. Does the Head unit seem to work OK otherwise ?
Anyway seems you will need to open up the console to check this Alan
