turn signal problem

no left turn signals, after a new relay th right works fine, still no left, th indicator on th dash lights up n blinks fast, realay also clicks fast, no power to th fuses, all th bulbs are clean and new, im thinking signal sw ????

Before going after the signal switch or the turn signal and flasher relay, I would check that both front and rear bulb's + poles are in contact with the signal's + tip. It could also be a bad ground, as the ground in these signals comes from a wire attached to the frame and these can corrode. Other thing could be the bulbs, are these really new or just look new?

Oops, I thought I was in the 911 Tech.Forum...
Anyway, easier things should be checked first, I believe also applies to the 928.

yep I checked th easy stuff first, when I turn on th right turn signals I get power to th right fuses, everything works fine, no power to th fuses on th left side at all

Playing with electrics on the 928 its essential to have a set of wiring diagrams for your specific model, which are included in the set of CD's from Roger. Home - 928s R Us Porsche Parts Store

I was messing w th 4 way flasher switch last night, now all th turn signals work ???

Jose_JGC 03-17-2015 12:22 PM

Glad to know you fixed it. So we may conclude that it was a bad contact in the flasher switch.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat6.gif

and this morning no left blinker again ughhhhhh lol

My right signal did not work and it turnout out to be bad contacts in the fuses going to the lamps. Good idea to clean electrical contacts as you have things open. Caig Deoxit work well.

I'd suspect the fuses (and fuse holders) first too - check both fuse HOLDER terminals with the fuse in... and don't just look at the fuse - to test use a DMM.
