I've a '84 928s and am concerned, for peace of mind, whether or not it's an interference engine. Responses appreciated!

The US '84 928 is not considered an interference engine.
There is some debate on whether the ROW '84 Euro is an interference engine. I do not believe that mine (the Stepson) is interference, but due to carbon build up and/or different valve relief in the various pistons used in 1984, as well as previous head work, some '84 Euro engines could be interference engines. If your engine is not a ROW engine, you should be safe.
