Factory 928 tools FS
I recently found a couple Porsche 928 tools that I don't need. The first one is for mounting a 3 speed automatic on an engine stand. This is tool number 000 721 916 20. I believe this is NOS, unused. It is older than 1990 because it says Made in W Germany. The second tool also looks NOS, unused, it is tool 000 721 915 71. This tool is used to hold 928 oil pump drive gear. My friend owns a small machine shop specializing in early VW engines and had these tools on his shelf for many years and never used either. My price is $500 plus shipping for the transmission mount bracket and $60 plus shipping for the oil pump tool. Feel free to make offers. Thanks for looking.

I have never seen nor heard of anyone on here needing these tools. Good luck on the $500.

Why bother being so negative. What do you care?

They're going to be tough sell. Try a Mercedes shop for the trans holder, however they stopped making 3 speeds after 82, and the early transmissions are weak, and replaced with 4 speeds instead of being rebuilt... Not that desirable at all.

Thanks for the bump

The oil pump drive gear holder tool is VERY handy to have. It's one of those things you don't need very often, but it sure makes the job easier when you DO have it.
I used mine 3 times this year and probably won't need to use it again for several years, but I'll hang on to it and spread it around to local 928 DIY'ers. |
bump for any offer?????

Oil Pump tool is Sold, Thanks Kyle
The transmission stand would be a nice conversation piece in the garage. How about $50 plus shipping? I hate to cut it up for the metal. |
Jerry,
Is there any chance it works for a 4 speed transmission also? |
I picked these tools up from a friend who is not a 928 guy. I've never worked on a 928. I'm guessing not, since it is classified as a tool for an automatic. Maybe it's worth $50 plus shipping to you to find out. Make all of the guys that passed this up jealous when you make it work

LOL.
Jerry, my problem(?) is that I don't own ANY 3 speeds. Only 4 speed automatics. |
