Engine finally installed

Made good progress this weekend and finally got the engine reinstalled. The last half inch was the most painful (how many jokes can you make of that?). I just could not get the angle right and also realized there were two small pins on the back of the flywheel that were getting hung up on the bell-housing.

Anyway, engine is in and hope to have it all hooked up and running within the next couple of weeks.

If it blows up after all this work and money you'll find me on the Mustang forum!

If you end up at the Corral, its not a bad place, just keep in mind I'm here because its cheaper to make an old Porsche all around fast than it is to start with a Mustang and make it brake and turn at the same time.

Not any more. Some of the newer Mustangs are starting to show up at the track and they are FAST. The guy who won my class was in a Mustang. The class included a some well driven M3s and a track prepared 944 turbo. The American iron is really stepping it up, can't sleep on them any more.

There's a good documentary on Netflix called "A Faster Horse". It's possibly more a sales tool for the 2015 Mustang than a documentary but it was good all the same.

Buying a new Mustang is still a bit more costly than sorting out an old 928.
