Yet Another Vacuum Hose Question
It's been awhile since I've posted here, but I have a question about a 1979 Euro my son and I are trying to get back on the road. I've searched here and on the internet for diagrams or photos for one particular hose, but have seen several different ways it's routed.
The one, (or maybe I should say two) hose(s) I'm questioning is the larger hose coming off the back of the AAV and has a 3or4? way tee spliced in. As my son and I stood mesmerized by all the hoses, cables, and fuel lines, I'm figuring which way vacuum is being pulled and it looks like I've got vacuum hoses pulling vacuum from other vacuum hoses, huh? I bought the silicone vacuum hose kit and am getting close to cutting and installing them while the WUR and FD are at CIS FlowTech being rebuilt as we speak. Here's what we have so far ![]() ![]() There's another tee fitting between the AAV and the upper plenum and I've seen where that hose would go to some sensor/diaphragm for the A/C mounted on the engine crossbar, then into the 3or4 way tee. Because that sensor/diaphragm is no longer there, the previous owner just looped the hose back to the tee. Like I said, it appears as though, some vacuum hoses are pulling vacuum and are tee'd into other vacuum hoses, so...... Does anyone 1) have a 79 Euro or 2) photos, diagrams, or sketches of the vacuum lines for this car? Anyone know of a good source of manuals on Euro 928's? Thanks Bob |

![]() ![]() ![]() A couple of pics of how my pipes are connected on my 83 euro, wouldn't have thought yours would be far different?! Mine has had the Aircon removed though, hence some bits removed! No need in the uk! |

Thanks Adam for the pics. I did do some more researching and found online the 928 Spec book. I had seen this book before, but couldn't find a copy to open online and didn't know if it was worth me buying a hardcopy.
Here's a couple of diagrams, might have to change a few hoses/tee's but it confirms a lot of the hoses I have are right, and some of my suspicions were correct that I don't need. ![]()

I'm pretty sure the hose between the aav and plenum shouldn't be there at all. The way it's run is pretty much eliminating the aav.

It connects to an injector at the front of the plenum on mine!

Looking at those diagrams, the lines going to my wur are the opposite round?! On mine, the line from the top of the wur goes to the back of the throttle body? If I remember rightly, when I replaced the pipe, it was shaped to loop over the top of the wur, and curved around the oil filler!
