Power Seat 'Feature'?
Hey Gang,
So... I raised my seat over the weekend to do some cleaning behind and under it and to my horror it was Stuck. Long story short, after quite some time playing with switches and wiring, I moved the seat forward to remove the bolts to take the seat out. While doing that, I happened to bump the switch.. And the seat moved down! I rolled the seat back, seat would go up, but not down. Moved seat to the forward position and it was happy to go down again. This can't be normal, is it? I'm happy it works, but I'm sure it's best that I fix it while it's still working. Advice? Thanks!

Obstruction or poor connection?
General note, the flex drives and gears now have 35 year old grease, replacing it seems like a good idea. |

I read somewhere the switches spark internally and build up deposits. Just spraying a bunch of DeOxit in the switch fixed one of my axes.

All of the rocker switches in the 928 seem poor. Look nice, cost plenty, fail quickly.
To be fair infrequent use could also be a factor, that and old grease in all the motor driven systems could increase current demand considerably. |

Thanks for the tips.
It's such a bear getting the seats in and out, I almost don't want to do it. But, I guess I better plan on fixing the old Veteran next Friday.
