New toy
Here is the new '89 turbo. Very pristine. Looks like it came out of a time capsule. 84,000 miles but you couldn't tell.
O.k. Help me decide what to do next. I need a power boost. Can somebody give me some ideas. I would like to start with the idea of building on. Maybe a chip first, then maf, then exhaust. I am open for ideas here. I want to end up with 300 hp, but if I get more thats o.k. I don't want to go to bigger injectors, different cam but maybe a reworked turbo might be o.k. ![]() |

A maf conversion, an open exhaust and a good deal more boost should get you there.

Juggling all the parts; Cam, Chip, BOV, Exhaust, Boost controller, there is a lot out there to help. If you are going to turn up the boost, consider getting a new high tech tri-lam/solid metal head gasket for good measure ( old style felt gaskets just weren't designed for higher presures, even the wide fire ring.)
