'90 944S2 Convertible

I am thinking about selling my 944 S2 convertible and was wondering if there is any interest out there?
It is white with blue top and interior.
Body is in excellent shape , interior is too with only some dashcracks.
The top and rear window look new.
It has 89000 miles and runs great.
limited slip Transaxle
The only thing it needs is a new clutchdisc (Rubbercenter seperated) but still driveable.

$8500.-

???? OFFERS ????

Let's see. . . A new dash runs about $700 to fix (Just Dashes) or more to replace, a clutch is about 30 man-hours worth or work, the worst mechanical hell you've ever gone through in your life, or about $3,000+ at a shop and I suspect the convertable top might need replacing ($$$) since you don't mention having done so. . .

When were the belts last done?

Normally a GOOD (as in none of the above mentioned stuff wrong with it) S2 cab goes for $10-$15K, but from the sound of it to get an "as-is" sale on yours you MIGHT get $6K if you're lucky. That's about all I'd pay.

I'm not trashing it, sheesh man don't get so defensive. I didn't see the part about the top - if it's in good shape that's good and obviously the price should reflect it. 15K on the belts is fair, but they should probably be retensioned at some point if they haven't been. The clutch still scares me (and should scare any potential buyer). If you can do a clutch in 16 hours then send me an e-mail. I have two you can do. You can have 'em back to me in a week then, right? Sorry to sound flip, but the 16 hour number is for a trained shop with a lift and all the proper equipment on hand, etc. For a DIY-er it's EASILY a 30-hour job. Sounds like maybe $9K or so would be a good price to start with. . .

I think the clutch on the turbo is alot harder due to the crossover pipes right? If i was interested in the car I would just deduct the cost of it needing a clutch from the asking price, especially if the car was pretty nice.
