Well, i light tunnels have faded over the years, and i decided to redo the refective coating on the bottom of the tunnel. i also peeked inside and removed one of the bulbs and it was very clouded. i cleaned the bulb and then decided to clean all of them. one of the problems is that one of the bulbs didnt pass an ohmeter check and needed to be replaced... and one of them has a bluish white back on it... which can be removed with a small flat head screwdriver. i didnt write down which one it came out of because i assumed i would remember. when it was finished everything appears to work, but the odometer and trip meter arent moving although the speedo is. im concerned the bulb that died which has not been replaced yet was possibly being used to complete a circuit allowing the odometer to work...

sorry for the paragraph, does it matter where that bluish white bulb goes, and even then there are several empty bulb slots. i dont know maybe one of the cables was just loose

Thank you for your response

Did you check out the worm gear and the little gear that mates with it. (Your earlier post about the instrument cluster) I would be very interested in finding out if there is indeed an electrical component to the odometer. Looking at my schematics and what I recall, I don't remember that.

This is from a 952 (RHD 951) so I don't know if all the bulbs are in the exact same places.
