are you aware that there are a lot of chinese knock off turbochargers and even tial wastegates with the cast/imprint brand logo on them that looks very similar to the real thing?
another popular scam is to buy a turbonetics housing (to get the turbonetics logo) and use fake parts for everything else. did you also know that turbonetics comes with a one year no-questions-asked replacement warranty? you won't get that warranty buying one on ebay even if it is real. sometimes it's worth spending the extra money and buying from a reputable seller. here's a writeup on fake tials. the taiwan knockoffs could fool amost anybody; http://www.tialsport.com/realvsfake.html |
WOW. they are getting pretty good at these things... Well the turbo does have a serial number on it. it could be matched to see if turbonetics recognizes it.
and yes i do know turbonetics has that warrenty i bought a t66 stright from them a few years back for my 94 supra turbo |
when you get done with all the other work you are doing and the car is together we can trouble shoot the boost or lack there off.

Hmmm, I don't recall speaking to anyone who bought my chips off anyone on ebay. You sure you talked to me? I'm the owner of MAXhpkit/951MAX

But I really don't mind helping people who have bought my products from someone else. He may not get a new chip for free, but I'm always willing to help someone, even if they are a INSERT_OTHER_VENDOR_NAME_HERE customer and not mine. Regards, Russell |
i'll call you sometime monday then. I'll probably have to send them in to get reprogramed!
thanks jason |
