Dme/klr are located in the passenger side, under the foot board. There is a write up on Clark's site about it.
both chips are in the same place in dme and klr (only dme pic posted).

where did you purchase these chips? if you got them from a reputable source, they should have arrived with clear instructions on how to install them correctly.

which turbo? which chips? list your full mods!

there's also a chance you may have gotten counterfeit chips if you got them on ebay, as that's a popular scam.

ah okay. any reason why you went with the sfr turbo if you're only going to be running 18psi?

be careful using the LBE, there are lots of write-ups and debates about it. biggest drawback is that it will disable the stock overboost protection.

if you already have a max951 chip, why are you going with the sfr chip? or is it the other way around?

and the clark's garage site has a great writeup on chip swap. here is another great chip install write-up;

18 for daily 25 for track. Dont want to blow my motor.

I have the max 951 chip Not the sfr chip. i think sfr may use max 951 chips too. What exactly is the LBE write up of? its almost common sense to install.

you really don't like searching, do you? here are two to get you started;
Lindsey Racing Boost Enhancer

What's purpose of the "venturi tube"?

You don't even know where the computers are in your car and yet you're "okay" with modding it out with parts of dubious origin?

This is gonna' end badly.

Dibs on the carcass. Do you happen to have LSD transmission? I need one of those.

I called up maxhp and asked them to do me a check on the chip. I told him the original owners name. And he looked up his file for me. to tell me the specifications of it.

and yes its a common problem apparently search google for it
(the wastegate gets stuck and doesnt open or opens and doesnt close.)

Also currently i just realized the car doesnt actually hit boost. I felt like i was over boosting before but now i realize the boost gauge (stock) measures absolute pressure? if thats correct? and at atmospheric pressure it should be at 1bar.? I never hit over 1 bar just recently occured.. could be the wastegate..

i'm aware of the wg getting stuck open/closed, i don't believe that's a 'common' issue. it usually points to a car that has been parked outdoors and/or not driven regularly, as the wg will corrode.

what i was wondering, is how were you able to validate your wg is actually the problem?

and yes, the stock gauge measures vacuum, so 1bar = atmospheric pressure. stock boost is around 1.8bar, or ~11psi over atm.

although it is a possibility, just because you're not getting boost, doesn't mean your wg is stuck open. lots of things can cause this.

also, what about the sfr turbochargers and such? have you validated their authenticity ?

Well not sure yet. I will find out when i drop the trans and torque tube this week doing the clutch install. I will pop out the wastegate and check. Yeah before i bought the car it sat for over a year not being driven. So i wouldnt be suprised.

as for the SFR turbocharger. They do use turbonetics turbos and the trim size is the same. and the turbo is Infact turbonetics. So i have no doubt its is one of their turbos

how do you know it's not a knockoff? sfr isn't the only company that sells turbonetics. someone could have also cobbled one together and claim it's an sfr turbo when it's actually a cheap copy, etc.

i'm not sure how to positively identify an sfr turbo, though.

well Nize the fact is. If or not if they got a turbo and chip together. Its the same components that turbonetics uses. I Dont know any company that makes "fake" turbonetics turbo chargers. And also happen to be direct bolt on for 944 turbo. The trim size and A/F are the same as the SFR specs. Even if it didnt originate from them. It originaated from the same place SFR got it from. And the SFR turbo is just turbonetics. SFR is a retailer they use other manufacturers parts. Just like if you get a turbonetics T66 from MVPmotorsports or you get a turbonetics T66 from Lindsey Racing Same thing. just sold by different people. For safe measure i may get the chip retuned.

But i understand what you mean. You are pretty parinoid by everything haha. I guess being 100% sure is good
