welcome to 951 ownership! does it run okay? have you already checked the vac lines and hoses? can you post some more details about your car? is it stock?

I wanted to be sure my 87 was running well in stock form before I did anything, so I did the following:

Belts.
Replaced all vacuum lines, big and small.
Replaced all coolant hoses.
New radiator, water pump, thermostat, fan switch, turbo temp switch.
Replaced 3 fuel lines in engine bay.
Replaced oil pan gasket.
Replaced intake and exhaust gaskets.
Rotor/cap/plugs.
New konis all round.
Fixed leaky power steering (by swapping to new manual setup).
Checked discs/pads for wear - OK.
Bled brakes.
Replaced one bad wheel bearing.
Replaced one bad engine mount.
Fresh gear oil.

I'm reasonably confident I now have a solid base to at least put some miles on the car. Once I get used to it I can evaluate what the next steps are. If you jump in and start upgrading without addressing the "boring" stuff, you can be chasing old gremlins and confusing them with upgrage gremlins. Don't take the sellers word that the car is perfect, he was trying to sell it.

I went through it and all the belts, gaskets, ect have just been changed out about 5000 miles ago and the car only has 75000 original miles. I was just at the shop today and had it looked over. The car had been babied by an older doctor lady who was the original owner. It was in good enough shape to make the 6 hour drive home from orlando with no problems. It is all stock except fot the 3'' exausht I had thrown on. Other than that everything electronicly works. Even the old blackpaunt deck and EQ.
