I wish we had those rear bumpers here.

Great article Arthur!

I came very close to buying the actual car in the magazine feature around 2 years ago, it was a well sorted example but me and the seller had slightly different ideas about it's value, I wonder where it is now ?.

agreed, the euro bumper makes a big difference...

I've put mine up for winter right after Thanksgiving (although I took it out on the highway last weekend, 20F, very dry & sunny, the car ran like a scalded ape!) and I miss driving it already...the summer tires were squirrelly though...
and my DD is no slacker, it's a 2007 RS4, a nice ride...
but there is something about the 951...

I'm going to run it once a month or so, get it hot and the battery charged...
1/2 tank of Sunoco 93 with Stabil
+5 psi in the tires
disconnect the battery
got a Coverking heavy weather cover, so far it's all it was cracked up to be...

You guys should lobby someone like D9 or the like to come up with a nice ROW bumper conversion. That's the worst thing about the US cars, your rear 'ledge'.

i've been rear-ended enough times in the 951 to know that the us style bumper will actually protect the car from damage.

the euro bumper might look nice, but the car will suffer a lot more damage if it ever gets rear-ended even at low speeds.
