3 Bar fuel pressure regulators

I did some homework a while back where I was looking for a cheaper 3 bar FPR than many companies were offering. This is what I've found:

1989 Volvo 740 2.3L L4 Bosch # 0 280 160 294 (it's silver)

or

1988 BMW 325ix I6 Bosch # 0 280 160 226 (not sure on color) or 0 280 160 249 (the black one)

the most expensive one was $55. I actually went with the one for the volvo because I got it for free on an engine swap at work. Hope someone else can use this info as well.

Here is some additional info that I have found regarding this issue:

Saab also used the 0 280 160 226 during the same time period.

And BMW used the 3 bar 0 280 160 258 on the 325 E30 85-91.

If need 3.8 bar, try the 0 280 160 287, which is found on the S2.

Additionally, the S (n/a) goes 3.5 bar (0 280 160 263)).

Be aware that the S2 uses a threaded connector on the back of the FPR. Not a push-on nipple like the 951.

I didn't know that, thanks for providing the additional info. FYI - there is an adjustable Bosch unit that I think will fit our cars, but I haven't been able to come up with the part# for it yet. Doses anybody have the low-down on that issue?
