On my 86 turbo I have a sensor which is connected to one of the pipes that goes to the expansion tank, it has a single green wire coming out of it which is about to brake off, Ive been trying to look the part up but cant find the correct sensor, can anyone help?

Can you post a pic? Are you sure you aren't talking about the electric water pump for the turbo?

If you're referring to the thermoswitch, the part number is 930 606 118 00. You would also need the sealing ring, the part number for that is 900 123 007 30. It's on page 52 in the PET catalog, which you can download here. LR and Paragon also sell them including low profiles ones for fitment issues with an aftermarket turbo.

TEMP SWITCH TURBO COOLANT PUMP 944T "LOW PROFILE" at LINDSEY RACING - Your Porsche Performance Parts Center
This is the one I purchased, it has a male bullet terminal and you can purchase a female bullet terminal at the parts store which you can then crimp onto your existing wire. If you need the terminal, I can mail it to you for the cost of a stamp ![]() |
