Check this thread out. It lists the NAPA low profile p/n as well as a potential less expensive alternative.

For that price, I'll try hi-temp epoxy on the stock one first. CA (superglue, or krazyglue) burns up and looses it's hold after a while.

didn't need to replace mine because it was leaking....due to turbo upgrade and it was too close to the intake manifold and the top connector would not fit on to it.
also, stock water temp sensor is rated to turn on at 115C or 239F. this one is on at 189-199F as Nize showed above, Thanks Nize!

Oh-oh, I might HAVE to get one then. Will the stocker fit if upgrading to a K27? I am aware that I will have to do some kind of mod to the pipe on which the temp switch is mounted, for fitment of the pipe to work out, from what I have read.
The fact that the "aftermarket" switch kicks in 40-50 degrees earlier also does make it very attractive.

After doing some (re)searching, I found that the equivalent Duralast part can be bought from AZ (special order) for $42. But the excessive temp difference from stock worries me that the pump will run TOO much, shortening it's life, as well as the battery's life. I have already doubled the pump's after-switch-turn-off run time from 30 to 60 seconds.
Oh, and my stocker isn't leaking. The bake-a-lite piece that holds the terminal on broke the last time I had the intake off. But the switch does function if the terminal is glued back on. And BTW - the stocker IS temperature adjustable. Turn IN to lower the temp, turn OUT to raise it.

Update: Hoping that this would be the only issue involving fitment of the pipe that it is mounted on with a K27, I got the one from AZ for 42 bucks. It is Duralast #SW560.

Fresh update: Was NOT the only issue involving fitment of the pipe. The pipe would not clear the compressor housing of the K27. I went both ways, grinding about 1/16" or so off of the compressor housing, and also flattening the part of the pipe that didn't clear it, maybe 1/8", to obtain fitment. Not that it's a problem, but now I regret taking the grinder to the turbocharger. I think I should have just flattened the pipe a little bit more. Oh well, it IS what it IS, now.
