Turbo Coolant Leak?
While in the process of replacing my steering rack I have noticed a lot of the white flaky residue from coolant on the turbo/downpipe union. Does anyone know if this is going to require a complete turbo rebuild (no excessive end play at either end of the turbo) or just a reseal of the turbo coolant inlet? I still get plenty of boost, and have not noticed any other boost problems.
Thanks

The turbo coolant lines don't really need to be resealed...they use fittings that thread into either side of the CHRA, and then hoses clamp onto them. By turbo/downpipe unison, what connection are you referring to? Where the downpipe bolts to the turbo or where the downpipe bolts to the test pipe?

solved the problem....coolant was spraying from a pinhole in one of the turbo coolant hoses onto the turbo.
