I installed a set last spring and ran them over the spring/summer/fall. No complaints on the road, did a few long trips and I didn't find them noisy or hard riding. I do have a fairly loud exhaust system, so I might not be as prone to tire roar as most folks.

At time trials with the local PCA chapter on a runway course they did fine. Never really got greasy with heat. Although at cooler temperatures they were a bit sketchy, lots of wheel spin coming out of corners on hard throttle. I have no LSD so that would be part of the problem, but the traction issue only showed up on cooler days.

For the price you can't go wrong.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear.
Thanks

I run these tires with 285/30 rear and 255/35 fronts on 18's. So far I've got about 1000 miles and they are proving to be a great buy for the dollar.

Not the best picture but, you get the idea.

They do seem crazy cheap by comparison. I've just ordered some for new road wheels. Won't get driven much on street but hope they are safe enough for load?

Wheels look nice Vic! That's a deep dish for an 'S' ?

I guess you can say they are a deep dish. The rears are 10.5" and the fronts and 8.5" - the offsets are just right and the wheels fit great.

These tires are great for street driving - I haven't done any track time on them so I cannot comment.

Well they look very nice and it's good to hear you've had a positive experience with the tyres as well. These will strictly be for road use. Hope to post some pics in a few months of the finished car with these new street wheels.
Should be nice and mean looking.

Replaced my all-time favorite tire, the Eagle F1 GS D-2 with them, and they compare very well. I'm very pleased.

I've been running these tires on my car for the last 6 months, and I've been very pleased with them. I not only run them everyday on the road, but I've done a few autocrosses on them, and they perform admirably. For the price, I think these are some of the best tires out there. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set, and I probably will!

Great to hear. I was trying to get some of these based on the great review on Tire Rack

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeCo ntact+DW&partnum=03YR9ECDWXL&vehicleSearch=false&f romCompare1=yes

but they say that there are no 305/30 x 19's available for this year so they suggested these Hancooks as an alternative. After driving back from the track last season on some worn Nitto NT01s and getting caught in a downpour I aquaplaned off the road and into a guard rail. Damaged the car quite a bit, so I've decided to make sure to take road wheels and tires each time to avoid that totally helpless feeling of knowing you're about to have a pretty decent impact. Could have been really really bad had a big Semi been just behind me as I hit rail on passenger side and then spun across the 2 lanes to wind up sitting in the grass center section in the middle and facing backwards. More thrills than the trackday I can assure you!!!

^That sucks. Sorry to hear

I bought some Continental DW's on tirerack last week; haven't mounted them yet, but they're giving away cameras with sets of four. They are very highly rated and I'm curious to see how they compare to my heat cycled Bridgestones.

Sure did suck. Not a nice feeling being helpless and one which I want to avoid again.

Be good to hear your feelings of the Contis?

I have them in 295/30/18 on the rear and they are, like already mentioned, best bang for your buck! I wasn't going to spend $400ea on Pirelli as that is ridiculous and from experience they are noisy!

Just received them. 285x19 front and 305x19 rears. Man they are big. These will just be road tyres for road wheels inbetween racetrack and workshop so they should last a long time.
