So Ive started rebuilding my K26/8 turbocharger with a kit from G-pop shop, So far I got the new bearings and clips in, Has anyone else done this before?? I have 4 small (piston rings) that I need to install but I only remember seeing 2 on the exhaust side of the shaft, Anyone have pictures of the turbo opened up or any info would be great, Thanks

The k26/27 Turbocharger may have 1 or 2 piston rings for finger sleeve (Front bearing) mounted within the compressor seal plate. Be sure to prime/ lubricate with oil or vaseline during assembly. See Pics: Hope this helps.. ![]() ![]()

Thanks Guru, I got it all back together, It really wasnt that bad to do at all, Just gotta keep clean and calm and take your time. I got a rebuild kit for $99 from G-popshop, I installed all new bearings/bushings, and Lubed all those parts with 20-50 engine oil like the directions said, I did wuss out at the end just becuase Ive never done one and it can get expensive if it goes wrong, SO I have a local shop double checking my work and balancing the unit for me and since I rebuilt it myself it cut cost waaayyy down, In the end Id def do it again
