Okay, so I'm in the process of /maybe/ selling my 944 for 5k and /maybe/ buying a 1986 951. What should I really be looking for? I kind of know what to look for in a 944 now but anything Turbo specific I have zero experience with. Any thoughts are very appreciated!
1986 PORSCHE 944 TURBO If that turns out to be a wash I'm gonna visit Mr. Crazy 1986 Porsche 944

massive oil leaks, good records, t-belt & WP within 3-4 years max, or $ off the price for the job. Control arms rebuilt ever? When clutch done? Any mods? Motor ever been rebuilt? trans fluid change? recent brake rotors/pads? AC blow cold? Do the body panels all line up ok in front (yes, gaps are generous). Paint all the same color in shade & in the sun? Any paint "peeling" up, as to indicate a bad repaint, Does the car behave ok while off-boost? Drive like a Corolla?
Tie rods & alignment ever?

car looks nice and worth a look. I have collector plates on my 951 and don't need an echeck for emissions. I do have to have a primary driver though for this to be ok in the state that I live in. Maybe you can do this too and put in a test pipe in place of the cat.
