After my last fillup I got a gas smell around the back of the car. I crawled underneath to see fuel dripping every 20 seconds or so. This was the culprit, the line that goes from the filter to the hard line on the pressure side.
![]() Check your lines guys, they're getting pretty old and there are too many stories about burned-down 951's. Everyone changes the lines on the fuel rail pretty religiously, but make sure your lines in the back are good! Of course, I also replaced the filter. WYAIT...

Sound advice guys. I'm planning on the fuel filter soon, anyone have a part number for the hose as well?
edit - the part number for the under hood line would help me out too - I need to do that one at the same time. |

Here's the hose mentioned above: 951.356.047.03
I can't remember the over-the-rail hose numbers... next replacement I'll be doing Rennbay replacements.

This is the damper line on the fuel rail, AKA the biggest fire threat.
944.110.413.02 Its also not a bad idea to replace the feed and return lines for the fuel rail. I would just go with the many aftermarket options available, but only use the kits that use COMPRESSION fittings at the hardlines, Dont use anything that makes you use a fuel injection clamp other than at the regulator (like how it is factory).

Our 924S had the same cracked hose when we pulled it.
On my 951: I'm in the process of switching mine to steel braided AND putting fire sleeve & tape over it. Maybe overkill -- but I'm not taking any chances. mike
