Checking Fauut Codes with Voltmeter
 
How do you use the volt meter to check fault codes. I know where to hook it up,but what setting should the voltmeter be on and what type of readout will it give to get the code?

I am having an issue in 5th gear at WOT at about 4k it is hitting a cutoff so I would like to check what code it is outputting. Thanks

Why not just get an LED and use that for the blink codes? Easier than with a voltmeter.
