Question for Fletch944t about 968 engine

Hello, i am interested in the 968 blocks you have for sale. I currently have a 86 n/a. I was curious to know what comes with the block and if it will adapt into my car? Will the clutch, bell housing, tork tube and tranny work from my car with the 968 engine? Or does it come with a different clutch and bell housing? Would everything else in my car work, i would need the ecu, wiring and everything too right? Would my stock radiator and water lines work with the 968? How about the VDO gauges, would they all still work? What about the sensors, wiring, and fuel system, lines regulators? What else would be needed along with what you are selling to adapt it or is everything coming with it? thanks,

John

968 Block

Hi John,

This is a bare 968 block. It comes with the block, crank girdle, and balance shaft covers. You'd need to obtain piston squirters which are available from Kelly Moss Racing. Of course you'd also need 104 mm pistons, a 3.0L crank (assuming you wanted a 3.0L), and different cylinder head (or have your's modified to mate to the 3.0L block. All the peripheral stuff (bell housing, pan, motor mounts, etc.) will bolt directly to the 3.0L block.

I emailed the guy with the blocks yesterday (someone else is interested as well) and for some odd reason he's gone up $150 on the price. So, I think you'd be better off shopping around or waiting for him to put them on Ebay.

Regards,
Clark
