Question Can you adjust the CO level on DME controlled 3.6?

I plugged in my Gunstun gas analyzer yesterday in my 93 3.6 just to get an idea on how high the CO level is. It registered a 3.0-3.2 at idle. Althoughth I dod not have smog testing for another year and a half, this level will not pass smog in CA even at 1978 standards.

The DME has a Centex chip for to compensate for the lightened flywheel. The O2 sensor is hooked up. There are no cats.

Is there a way to adjust the CO level besides the chip for emissions test purposes? Also, would disconnecting a fuel injector connection mon one of the cylinders mean the CO output would decrease by 1/6th, or maybe more. With a injector connector disconnected would the 6th cylinder acts as a large air pump to dilute the exhaust?
