Eff##! 964 hood struts

Taking out the front hood struts to replace with new. Tried every tool and method possible. Not happening.
Maybe I should've taken the labor quote of $1200 in shop time and sent the bill to the idiot that designed it.

Last try before I use my tool of last resort... 😎

the top is just a clip and pin the bottom is a ball and socket use a long pry bar at the bottom pry towards the center off the car it will pop off

+1 and certainly stay away from the shop that quoted $1200.00 for this work. They must be charging an hourly rate of about $6,000.00

This is a very simple procedure. Take a long thin flat blade screwdriver and poke it between the hood strut and clip. See photos. Done!
