89’ C4 to C2 Speedometer: How to make it work

Hi,

Is there a DIY to make the speedometer work after converting the car from C4 to C2?
Background: 1989 C4 speedometers are driven by the pulse sender from the gearbox. R24 Relay also doesn’t exist in a 1989 to work in conjunction with R52 to capture the signal from the front left wheel sender after conversion.

How have others made the speedometer work after a conversion. I have a R52 C2 relay, would I have to bypass some ABS wiring?

Thank you!

Mark

The later C-4 ABS computer- the one ending in 01, picks up the signal from the left front wheel sensor like the C-2 does. Check the PET and see if that computer was a superseded number for the 89.

Thank you for the information. Looks like I got relay 964.618.220.00. I need to change it to 964.618.221.00 or is there a different one?

Thanks!
