Remote sideview mirror switch / door trim

I am addressing some issues and want to remove the driver's remote mirror switch from the door panel Cover Strip. No problem removing the door lock bushing or the associated electronics.

However, the mirror control seems stubborn and the last thing I want to do is make things worse.

I've searched and come up empty on any, let alone the proper, method to disassemble this part.

TIA for any help!

You are trying to remove it? Pull the knob straight up and there is a threaded nut on the top face you unscrew and it should come right out.
