Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
2. I have the same vehicle - 89 964 - there’s not a white fitting on my bracket. Looked around - can’t find it. See photo.
1. I can’t see inside the harness to see the wire colors.
Not sure I was much help.

If you cannot put your hands on a new speed ,reference sensor and wire to replace or
check order maybe remove the rubber on other plug side and check color sequence
they should be the same .
The white plug you found goes to a hose coming from behind the crossmember
that pulls vacuum from the manifold for the braking system , goes up to your booster
on the front suspension.

Happy New Year 2021!

Looks like it is time to update your crank ref sensor and plug end.

3, 2, 1 from left to right.

CHT sensor and plug are the same except white plug and uses 2 pins

Hi - I'm trying to do this update and wondered how the best way to remove the grommet that the wire runs through might be (without tearing it). From above or below? Thanks
