Seating position and relationship to pedals
I have Recaro seats in my 1990 C4. I just cant get comfortable!
I find that the clutch can't be depressed fully if I have the seat back enough for comfortable use of the accelerator. Presently I have the seat forward to get the clutch pedal fully depressed but then my leg is bent for the accel.. This in turn also means I have no support under my knee which is tiring. It also means I have my arms bent considerably as I am sitting very close to the steering wheel. I note that the clutch pedal is bent towards the left - is this standard on the RHD cars? Could the pervious owner have bent it to suit his needs? Certainly there is a much bigger space between the brake and clutch pedals on the C4 than my 87 911. The Recaro seat only has fore and aft adjustment and rake for the back. Could I have the pedals adjusted? I'm thinking of the clutch pedal being brought forward more but won't that just make the pedal travel longer? Is there a pedal stop that can be adjusted foward? Any thoughts. Thanks, Mark
