anyone know what the heck this is??

a strange liquid filled box, connected to the alarm system.
located under the plastic liner of the passenger wheel arch, just above the wheel.

i removed it as part of ripping out a cowboy alarm installation.
im not sure if its from the cowyboys or a standard / stock porsche alarm item.

could it be a mercury motion sensor?

any ideas anyone, and errrr. i chopped it out, dont tell me i gotta put it back in again????

Looks like a crude, waaaay overdone tilt switch.

just don't throw it away in the garbage, mercury is toxic, call around your local city and see where it can be disposed of.

It disables the alarm when a tow truck lifts one end of your car to tow it away..

This way the tow truck is not hauling a car with its alarm going off..

Great for stealing cars because if you lift the end first the alarm will not go off when you steal it..

Thanks

Muhahah Muahahah... If you have a garage with an automatic door opener - it might as well be in the driveway. Get one with a manual lock from the inside..
